The Canadian Association of Perinatal and Women’s Health Nurses (CAPWHN) represents women's health, obstetric and newborn nurses from across Canada. CAPWHN aims to promote excellence in nursing practice, leadership, education and research in the areas of perinatal and women’s health care.

2016 CAPWHN National Conference
Planning is underway for the 6th National Conference. We look forward to seeing you October 21-23, 2016 at the Westin Calgary in Calgary, Alberta.
The preliminary program is in the works. In the meantime we have posted documents for your reference for funding applications and planning purposes.

Zika Travel Alert
Pregnant women in any trimester should consider postponing travel to 14 countries and territories in South and Central America and the Caribbean where mosquitos are spreading the Zika virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced tonight. Viral infection in pregnant women has been associated with microcephaly in infants. See the CDC website or the Public Health Agency of Canada for more information.
